Cancellations, rain-outs and game rescheduling

Cancelling and reschedule games procedure:

  1. It is home team’s responsibility to cancel the game for rain out or other reasons. 

    Do not cancel the game for following  assumption.
     
    1. it rained at 4:00PM and has stopped after half hour therefore the field is not playable.
    2. Because it’s cloudy and it looks like it’s going to rain.
    3. if you get a call from visiting team saying that it’s raining at their end of town therefore lets cancel the game. Often it can be raining at one end of the city and not the other.

  2. Prior to cancelation Home team must verify the field to see if it’s playable unless there is a major down just prior to game time.
  3. If the game is being cancelled due to rain the home team must call the visiting team coach immediately, the umpire hot line 514 757 5943 and score keepers advising of the cancellation.
    (failure to cancel the umps means a cost to all associations). This applies to all levels.

  4. Rescheduling rain out games or cancelled games for other reasons must be done as soon as possible
    1. The home team coach needs to make the rescheduling request by email to the scheduler in charge of his parks (for Lakeshore this would be Rock Marriott at ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) as well as to the opposing visiting coach.
    2. The 3 parties then go back and forth till both coaches are happy with the offer from their scheduler.
    3. Be sure to secure umpires by calling 514 757 5943- This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
      (Lakeshore only)
    4. When that’s done the scheduler in charge will forward the last agreed email to the his umpire dispatch  and copy the webmaster for all B levels Peewee and bellow only( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it )  who updates the website for lakeshore control schedule  highlighting the game number, the new date, time and park.
       
      For all A levels, Junior BB, Bantam-B, and Midget-B you must advise the region’s webmaster Victor Levis: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it who will update the region control schedule.
