It is the goal of Lakeshore Baseball to encourage players to develop playing skills and build a lifelong love of the sport. We are excited for the upcoming 2022 season and we hope to see you all out on the field soon!!!
Volunteering Opportunities with Lakeshore Baseball
In addition to the key roles of Coaches, Team Manager, Umpire and Score Keeper throughout the whole year there are many key tasks that require the support of the LBA community. The Organization is looking for Volunteers to lend a hand (usually only a few hours) with a variety of tasks including
- Attending Marketing events such as Kirkland Day, Registration Days etc
- Helping with the opening and closing of the season with respect to Equipment
- Game Supervision and general support of LBA run Tournaments/Regionals
- Helping with Winter Camp
EQUIPMENT: Each player is responsible for providing the following equipment, all of which is available at most sporting goods outlets: Baseball pants (grey only), Baseball glove, CSA approved Baseball Helmet, athletic supporter, and baseball shoes.
VOLUNTEERS: LBA is a volunteer association and we need volunteers and our member parents to help run our programs. If you can help out in any way it would be appreciated. We are looking for Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Team Managers. We also need volunteer Scorekeepers, Game Supervisors, and Umpires for special events such as hosted tournaments. If you are interested in volunteering in any of these capacities please indicate this on the registration form.
SPRING TRAINING EVALUATION SCHEDULE: Beginning this season, LBA will be enhancing the tryout process for the Atom through Midget levels. Spring training / tryouts will begin in late April at an indoor facility and will move outdoors as the weather improves. Players will be notified of the schedule for their age group however please consult this website and Facebook regularly as dates and location are subject to change.
PHOTO CONSENT: Throughout the season photos are taken by our Communications Team to be featured on our Website, Facebook page, and in LBA marketing materials used to promote amateur baseball in the Lakeshore region. By registering with LBA online, you will be consenting to allow our association to use your child’s photo on the above platforms.
* PUBLIC HEALTH DIRECTIVES: During the Covid-19 pandemic, All players must be in compliance and follow all public health directives issued by the Quebec Public Health authorities at all times in order to participate. (e.g. Waivers, Vaccine Passports, Adequately Vaccinated, etc..). Please note these directives can change at any time.
